Santa Claus will make a special appearance each night before Christmas to spread holiday cheer so bring the kids to share their Christmas wishes and the perfect photo op. Let your children’s creativity shine at our holiday-themed craft stations, enjoy interactive story-time with local libraries, and learn about bioluminescence in the Meadow Garden! Warm up by the fire and make some delicious s’mores using Tiki Brand fire pits donated by W.C. Bradley. Shop our Lillie Belle Holiday Market for Christmas gifts in the Adams Farmhouse, and finally, be mesmerized by our breathtaking Walk of Stars, a path of illuminated Shine Stars honoring and remembering loved ones.

The Columbus Botanical Garden invites you to remember or celebrate your loved one this holiday season by purchasing a Moravian Star to be featured in the Walk of Stars at our upcoming Holiday Light Display, Shine. Star Dedications and Donors will be recognized along the pathway leading into The Sam M. Wellborn Camellia Garden at the Columbus Botanical Garden. Each star is a glowing white 7 point weatherproof Moravian Star that is lit from within. Large star includes dedication text.

Shine Activities
Cookies and Cocoa with Santa
Ho ho ho! Santa Claus is on his way to Columbus Botanical Garden to enjoy the sweetest holiday treats with you and your family at our Cookies and Cocoa with Santa event. Join us as we kick off these special evenings of Shine filled with delicious cookies, cocoa, and extended visits and photos with Santa. We will have a holiday cookie decorating station, a reindeer treat bag making station, and a North Pole Postal Express where children will have the opportunity to write their Christmas wishes to Santa!

Cookies and Cocoa with Santa is from 5:00-6:00pm on December 14th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and includes your 6:00pm Shine admission.

Each person attending must PRE-PURCHASE a ticket.
Wreath Making
We're excited to invite you to our upcoming festive wreath making class, taking place inside our gin barn. Get into the holiday spirit and unleash your creativity with us! The class will be led by our talented volunteer, Helen Philips, who will guide you through the process of creating a beautiful 12-inch holiday wreath. All supplies will be provided, so all you need to bring is yourself and a festive attitude. Don't miss out on this fun and crafty event - reserve your spot today!​

The Garden will be providing the opportunity to give and support other local non-profits throughout December. Each Saturday we will feature a local nonprofit. The nonprofit will have the opportunity to have a booth and we will be taking both physical and monetary donations. With each donation, guests will receive a FREE hot chocolate voucher for Shine.

Columbus Dream Center
The Columbus Dream Center (CDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to restoring hope to families and individuals in need in the Chattahoochee Valley area. Established in 2001, CDC has impacted over 40,000 people, providing essential services such as groceries, clothing, hygiene products, spiritual support, free haircuts, and meals. Their mission is driven by volunteers, and they operate with the support of Faith Nation Church.

Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund
The Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund is dedicated to providing financial support to Fort Moore’s 75th Ranger Regiment U.S. Army Rangers and the families of those who have died, been disabled, or are currently serving in harm’s way around the world. The organization offers crucial financial assistance beyond what the government and Veterans Affairs can provide, ensuring that the brave individuals who serve and their families receive the support they need during times of hardship and transition.

​The fund supports active duty Army Rangers and families of fallen or disabled Rangers by addressing their ongoing financial needs, recovery efforts, casualty assistance, and other vital services. The organization works in close collaboration with the USSOCOM Warrior Care Program (Care Coalition) and Unit Command to ensure that Rangers and their families receive comprehensive and sustained assistance.

Ranger Transition Program
Aimed at supporting Rangers transitioning from military service to civilian life, providing financial aid and resources for a successful reintegration. -
Wounded Ranger Recovery Program
This program focuses on helping injured Rangers recover both physically and financially, offering assistance for medical needs, rehabilitation, and living expenses. -
Ranger Chaplain Program
Provides spiritual and emotional support to Rangers and their families, helping them navigate through times of crisis and loss. -
Ranger & Family Health & Wellness Program
Focuses on the physical and mental health of Rangers and their families, offering resources for healthcare, wellness initiatives, and counseling. -
Gold Star Program
Supports the families of Rangers who have lost their lives in service, offering financial aid and assistance to ease their burden during this difficult time.

Monetary Donations: All contributions are requested to be financial to help cover the costs of living expenses, recovery programs, and the transition back to civilian life for injured or disabled Rangers.
