​​Renner Loney, a native of Columbus, was educated in the public schools. After attending Mercer University, Heidelberg University (Germany), and the University of Georgia (Ed.D.), she taught German for thirty years. She has studied with renowned photographers such as Nancy Rotenburg, Freeman Patterson, Jackie Kramer, and Mike Moats.

Her photographs have been selected in many juried shows where she has won numerous awards. She has had a solo show at Callaway Gardens for three months. Renner Loney is a native of Columbus. After retiring from teaching, she has used her unique vision to photograph the natural world, especially flowers and gardens. Both the Lotus and Cherry Blossoms express not only the beauty of the earth but also the spiritualty of diverse cultures and a sense of renewal of life in Columbus and afar.
