You are invited to join the Columbus Botanical Garden for “Gala in the Garden” at 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022, with special guest, Horticulturist and Author, Brie Arthur. Brie is the visionary and author of the Foodscape Revolution and Growing with Grains. We are excited to also have special guest, Chef and Media Personality, Jonathan Harrison.

Located in the Meadow Garden overlooking the Southern Terrace Gardens and the beautiful Columbus Botanical Garden - our refreshed Gala in the Garden fundraiser will be filled with delectable southern fare alongside craft cocktails and hand selected wines, as well as talented musicians to make for a truly one-of-a-kind event. The Southern inspired Garden-to-Table meal will be prepared by The Animal Farm Columbus. Our updated Gala event will be a “taste” of all that the Garden offers, a true melting pot rich in history and culture, as we embrace our mission to be an indispensable community asset bringing together beautiful and diverse plants and people.

Please also join us on Friday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m. for our Garden Luncheon featuring Horticulturalist and Author, Brie Arthur and Chef and Media Personality, Jonathan Harrison. After enjoying a Southern Living inspired meal prepared by chef Jonathan Harrison, guests will hear a presentation from the renowned visionary and horticulturalist, Brie Arthur. Brie will speak on her book “The Foodscape Revolution”, the importance of incorporating vegetable gardens into ornamental landscapes. Brie’s presentation will be followed by a cooking demonstration led by award winning chef Jonathan Harrison, using fresh herbs and vegetables grown at the Columbus Botanical Garden. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet both speakers during a book signing following the presentation.

Hailing from Alabama, Chef Jonathan Harrison brings new life to the beloved south when he steps into the kitchen. Having recently appeared on the first season of Gordon Ramsay’s Next Level Chef on Fox, Jon’s personality is as vibrant and flavorful as the food he creates. He is known for combining traditional southern staples with flavorful ingredients from around the world to create the reimagined comfort foods that are known and loved. As a private chef and food personality, Jon’s philosophy of sharing the south with the world while bringing the world to the south has made him a standout and fan favorite. Drawing from his roots in Columbiana, Alabama- Jon prides himself in using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to create a dining experience like no other.
