About the event

Stop by our CBG Art Tent and let nature be your design to create beautiful artwork. Learn the art of flower dying - how to dye fabric with flowers. All the materials and even the fresh flowers are provided. Fresh flowers give you the most vibrant colors. You pick the flowers in our garden to create your own very unique artwork.

You can also bring any piece of clothing, dish towel, or bag and use our flowers to naturally dye it and take home! Articles that are most likely to take the dye from the flowers will be lightly colored and made of cotton, linen, or other absorbent natural materials. Some synthetic or more slick materials may not take the dye very well.

The first 9 people to arrive will receive a cut flower starter kit!

ART OF NATURE: WALK ON THE WILD SIDE

Wild things live amidst the plants here at the Columbus Botanical Garden. Twelve larger than life animal topiaries will be roaring and soaring among us from May to October! Beautiful arrays of moss, flowers, and foliage all combine to create these magnificent creatures. Explore our various gardens to visit all our animals across CBG.

Art of Nature: Walk on the Wild Side is CBG's 25th Anniversary Art Installation! Our animal topiaries will be here to celebrate the Garden's Birthday, and we would love to have you throughout the time they're here. We will have several events based around these beautiful topiaries as a way to cherish their time here in the Garden. Thank you to VisitColumbus and TSYS for sponsoring these toparies and making this event possible.
