For most of history, people have foraged for nature’s food and plant remedies. Today, much has changed, but the plants remain the same, and many plants growing all around us are beneficial, nutritious, and even medicinal. Come learn all about how to get started foraging. In this class, you’ll learn:

- Safe foraging practices

- How to confidently identify plants growing in our area

- Ways to use the plants you find

- How to find reliable foraging resources

About Natalie:

Natalie Downey works as a community herbal educator and practitioner, inspiring a reconnection to the natural wellness practices of people groups throughout history.

She brings a down-to-earth approach to what has been called “The People’s Medicine,” with the foundational belief that the connection nature inspires is the first step towards wholeness, balance, and true healing. Natalie’s training in herbalism has been enriched by her studies under herbal mentors such as Matthew Wood, Rosemary Gladstar, and Juliette de Bairacli Levy, and she has earned many herbal certificates from the Matthew Wood Institute of Herbalism. Natalie can often be found foraging in the forest, wrapping herb bundles under her favorite tree on a warm day, and gathering medicinal weeds in the wild fields behind her home.
