Create a whimsical one of a kind birdhouse just in time for spring! Join us for this hands-on workshop and make your very own glorious gourd birdhouse with the Columbus Botanical Garden’s volunteers. Participants will learn about which birds live in gourd birdhouses and how to make a bird family happy by placing your birdhouse at the correct height and location. Adults and children will work together to create and paint a beautiful, functional birdhouse from locally grown gourds. So, stop by the Garden and learn how to best meet the nesting needs of your feathered friends while learning new skills and getting creative with your “bird-approved, nature-inspired” decoration! All supplies included in cost.

Guided Garden Walk: Color Your Summer Garden with Perennial Favorites! – Wednesday, May 9 (11 am to 12 pm)
Come and enjoy a morning stroll through the vibrant display gardens at the Columbus Botanical Garden! Perfect for the novice gardener —learn about the colorful warm-season perennials used to highlight the gardens! Both native and non-native herbaceous perennials will be discussed along with their growing requirements, growth habits, unique attributes and companion plants. So, bring pencil and clipboard and get your garden growing this spring!
